A Neuroscience technology program typically prepares students to work as a Neuroscience Technologist. He/she should be able to assess the patient and plan various electrodiagnostic procedures adding technical skills needed to conduct the various diagnostic procedures and their interpretations as a part of the training. He / She must conduct or assist in the Electrophysiological procedures (EEG, NCS or EMG) done in the Neurophysiology lab, and do basic interpretation and preparations of provisional reports. Theoretical, technical and basic knowledge of procedures like Visual Evoked Potential (VEP), Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEP), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Response (BAER)& Sleep labs are acquired. Graduates of a Neuroscience technology program may find employment in Hospitals, Neurophysiology labs, or Neurology clinical labs.
