M.Sc. Cardiac Cath and Intervention technology

Eligibility Criteria:

• The students who have passed with minimum of 50% marks in B.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology / B.Sc. Cardiac care technology from institutions where mode of study is a full-time program with an internship of 1 year in universities or 1 year clinical experience is considered equivalent by Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University.
Or
• B. Voc (Cardiovascular Technology / Cardiac Care technology) with 1 year of internship or 1 year of working experience in Cath lab are eligible for MSC Cardiac Cath & Intervention technology program

Scope:

Graduates can work as cath lab technologist where they assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, stent placement and structural heart interventions. They play a crucial role in patient preparation, monitoring, and post- procedure care. Graduates can also choose to work in electrophysiology (EP) labs, where they assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, assist procedures like electrophysiological studies, radiofrequency ablation, and implantation of cardiac devices, such as pacemakers and defibrillators. They can also find employment in research institutions, medical device companies, or academic institutions as educators or researchers
