The Physician Associate is a skilled health care professional who is qualified with academic and clinical training to provide health care services under the supervision of a specialist. They work to bridge the gap between patients and specialist doctors. The training that they receive equip them to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services. The Programme is designed to train the student in examining and treating patient, order and interpret laboratory, x-rays and perform the diagnosis. Physician Associate also has several other responsibilities such as treating minor injuries, preparing and preserving progress notes and performing certain managerial duties. Physician Associate can provide patients with extreme care and support in almost every medical and surgical treatment.
