Trauma Care Management

Trauma Care Management is an undergraduate and postgraduate program under Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) that focuses on the comprehensive management of emergencies and trauma cases in both Pre-hospital and In-hospital settings. The program is designed to train students in the principles and practices of early resuscitation and emergency response.

Emergency medical care is delivered by a coordinated team comprising emergency physicians and paramedics, who play a vital role in stabilizing patients during the initial stages of care. The program aims to develop skilled emergency paramedics equipped to provide timely assessment, resuscitation, and management of patients with acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups.

This field of practice integrates knowledge from various medical and behavioural sciences, emphasizing rapid decision-making where time is critical. With the rising incidence of trauma and disasters, the need for trained emergency care professionals continues to grow, making Trauma Care Management an essential component of modern healthcare delivery.
