The Respiratory Therapists degree combines subjects from health sciences and science providing students with a general foundation in the healthcare environment, along with foundation studies in cardiopulmonary system. From this programme the student will learn to apply scientific principles to prevent, identify, and treat acute or chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system. The student will be trained to use various machines such as ventilators for artificial ventilation and help in the treatment of patients during this course. The programme includes advanced technology and techniques in managing patients with chronic respiratory diseases.
