Scope:
A Perfusion technology program typically prepares students to work as Cardiopulmonary Perfusionist, also known as Cardiac Perfusionist. In a cardiac operation theatre, Perfusionist are very important members of the cardiothoracic and vascular surgical team because they are responsible for running the heart-lung (cardiopulmonary bypass) machine and are responsible for the management of circulatory and respiratory functions of the patient. Hence, hospital needs a qualified and skilled Perfusionist.
