The Unit of Optometry successfully hosted a guest lecture talk on "Visual Rehabilitation and Counselling" in commemoration of World Optometry Day. The event took place on 24th March 2025 at Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences Mudipu campus.

Renowned expert Dr. Sailaja Roopesh Shetty delivered an insightful lecture, highlighting the importance of Visual Rehabilitation and Counselling in empowering individuals with visual impairments.

The talk emphasized the need for a multidisciplinary approach, combining medical, psychological, and social support to enable individuals with visual impairments to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

The audience comprised optometry students, faculty members, and faculties from Occupational Therapy who actively engaged in the Question-and-Answer session.
