Deeksharambh - 2023

Deeksharambh, induction and orientation program was conducted from 11 th - 15 th September 2023 for Undergraduate students of Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences (YSAHS), Yenepoya Physiotherapy College (YPC) and Department of Hospital Administration (HA). The program was live-streamed on YouTube on all 5 days.

Inauguration of the program was held on 11 th September andthe occasion was graced by Dr. M.Vijaya Kumar, Vice Chancellor, YDU; Dr. B.H. Sripathi Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor, YDU; Dr. K.S. Gangadhara Somayaji, Registrar, YDU; Dr. Nandish, CEO, YDU and Deans/Principals of the hosting colleges. Dr. Sunita Saldanha, Dean, YAHP delivered a welcome address. The Vice-Chancellor addressed the students. Hon. Chancellor DR. Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, who couldn't attend the inauguration in-person sent a video message wishing students best wishes. Prof. Lourdhuraj I, Principal, YPC gave the vote of thanks.

Various sessions were conducted for four days such as code of conduct, Study Skills and Learning Techniques, Orientation to Gender Sensitization & Internal Complaints Committees, Orientation to library resources, Taking charge of digital life, NSS, Ragging: Psychosocial Perspectives, Time Management, Orientation to Learning Management System (Yengage), SMS portal & IT, Orientation to Substance Abuse Prevention Committee , Importance of Healthy Lifestyle for Students, Orientation to Swayam courses, Youth Red Cross, Orientation to Sports facilities, etc. Individual Institutional orientation was conducted on the last day (15/09/2023) where students were oriented to their respective program curriculum, timetable, examination pattern, institutional rules and had interaction with their faculty members.
