The Department of Neuroscience Technology, Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), Unit 11, is set to organize an impactful outreach programme on the occasion of National Epilepsy Day. The event, titled "Voices for Epilepsy: Spreading Awareness, Saving Lives," will be held on November 25th, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Government First Grade College, Mudipu, in association with the Unit of Red Cross/Rovers and Rangers.
This initiative is aligned with the global commitment to SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-Being and SDG 4 - Quality Education, aiming to educate young individuals and the community about epilepsy, its challenges, and the importance of timely intervention. The programme will focus on breaking stigma, promoting early recognition of seizures, and empowering individuals to offer appropriate first aid during epileptic episodes.
The outreach will feature interactive awareness sessions, student engagement activities, and informative discussions designed to enhance understanding and advocate for better public response and support for people living with epilepsy.
